AGEL Žiar nad Hronom Hospital is expanding its health care services with a highly effective and patient-friendly method of treating pain resulting from sciatic nerve sprain. Since April, patients can make an appointment for periradicular therapy.

In the complex treatment, periradiculotherapy is a complementary method of conservative drug therapy in lumboischiadic syndrome, which consists in the application of drugs directly to the site of the pathological process with the use of a CT scanner. These are sprays under CT control near the affected root. The method is gentle, does not burden the patient and provides him with rapid pain relief. You can read about the preparation for the therapy, its course and possible contraindications on the website of the RDG department of the AGEL Hospital Žiar nad Hronom. Based on the indication of a specialist doctor in neurology, it is possible to make an appointment for the procedure on the basis of an application form on weekdays between 13:00 – 15:00 at the RDG department reception at 045/6709 438, or in person directly at the RDG department registration in the hospital building – block C, right part, during working hours from 7:00 – 15:30.
