Who is eligible for the Senior Citizen Card?

You will also receive a list of establishments when you are issued with your card and any changes are published in the city newspaper INFO TRENČÍN.

How to get a Senior Citizen Card?

If you meet the conditions for the card, you need to fill in an application form and hand it in at the Client Centre of the Municipal Office in Trencin. The application must be accompanied by a recent photograph measuring 3 x 3.5 cm and a fee of € 1 to cover the costs associated with the issuance of the card. When submitting the application, it is necessary to present an ID card. Applications are available at the Trenčín City Council Client Centre or can be downloaded from the Trenčín City website. The completed application can be handed in in person during the opening hours of the Client Centre: Monday to Thursday from 8.00 to 16.30 and on Fridays from 8.00 to 14.00.

When and where can I pick up my Senior Citizen Card?

After submitting a completed application form, enclosing a photograph and paying the fee, the card will be issued in approximately two weeks. You can pick it up at the Client Centre of the Municipal Office in Trenčín.

What if you lose your card?

In case of loss or theft of the card, you must report this fact at the City Office Client Centre, where you can apply for a new card. The procedure is the same as for the first application – you need to attach a photo, ID and pay a fee of € 1.

Validity and use of the card

The Senior Citizen Card is issued for an indefinite period of time and is not limited in validity. However, it is non-transferable and serves solely for the needs of its holder. Establishments participating in this programme are marked with a sticker bearing the Senior Citizen Card logo.
